Reverand Linda Brown: New Stone Ministrie. Relationship Counselor.

"Laura is the ideal companion for your learning journey, offering guidance and support every step of the way.

Her unique ability to cater to diverse learning styles and age groups makes her an invaluable asset in navigating through some of life's most important lessons."

Brandon Reed, OD, MS, MBA. 1st Counselor OPM Presidency.

"I’m thrilled to endorse Laura Brown as she embarks on her new journey as the founder of The Social Media MTC. Laura brings a wealth of experience, creativity, and genuine passion for empowering others to succeed online. I have no doubt that anyone who trains with Laura will walk away feeling confident and ready to take their social media presence to the next level!"

Emily Blackburn: OPM Returned Missionary

"Laura helped us use social media as a tool. We learned to use it as producers instead of consumers.

Laura practices what she preaches. Our mission saw a lot of success while she was helping us. She is a wonderful teacher. I feel like I often came away from her trainings with fire to find on Facebook and be more aligned with the Lord in my social media time."

Alex Aldridge: OPM Returned Missionary

"I came into the mission not having much personal experience with social media, and honestly felt like the 'one talent' missionary in the parable, but through the training I received, I was able to multiply that talent into two. I learned how to use social media in a purposeful, responsible way.

Sister Brown was inspiring, approachable, and clear. She taught us principles that went deeper than just “how to post." She showed us how to use social media with intention and integrity. She created a space where we could ask questions, try new things, and actually feel confident using the tools we were learning about.

Since coming home, I was hired for a great job where my social media presence was reviewed closely before hiring. The habits I built on the mission — being intentional about what I post and how I present myself — played a big role in that opportunity. I’m grateful for how social media training helped me turn something I barely knew how to use into a lifelong skill that continues to open doors."

Emily Nall: OPM Returned Missionary

"If you're looking for direction on how to spread the light of Jesus Christ online, Laura is the first person I would recommend! When I was preparing to go out on a mission, I never expected social media to play such a significant role in the work. So when we were encouraged to use it as a tool to bring people closer to Christ, I felt completely overwhelmed. I didn’t know where to begin or how to be successful, and I know I wasn’t the only missionary who felt that way.

Thankfully, we were blessed to have Laura guide us through the process. Her presentations were not only engaging, but also practical and encouraging. We always left her trainings feeling more confident and better prepared than we ever thought possible. Laura was incredibly kind and patient as we all navigated this new approach to missionary work.

Even now, four years after returning home, I still use the principles she taught to share the gospel on social media."

Grant Dell: OPM Returned Missionary

"When I was a missionary at first I didn’t understand or like the Jesus Brand and the V.I.T.S. training. I felt like it was a bit unnecessary. I thought, ‘Why would we ever want to do this?’ People like to read short posts and if there’s a ‘see more’ button I wouldn’t want to read more.

But later on I realized that doing social media this way helped the work in a lot of different ways. And the personal experience we shared in each of our posts helped us be more personable to other people and affirm our own beliefs.

Sister Brown pushed us. She didn’t say, ‘Oh it’s fine, you can do it that way, it’s totally ok.” She was more like, ‘The Jesus Brand is what we’re training. You need to make sure [your post] is all good.’ She helped us edit our posts to make sure they were professional and really readable.

We’re teenagers and missionaries and we don’t want to put a lot of effort into things sometimes. She helped us put in that more effort. Overall, she was great! I loved her as a mentor."

Blake Hofheins: OPM Returned Missionary

I really enjoyed working with Laura during my mission! We received constant training from her...on every aspect of social media. A lot of these included ways to guide your feed into producing nurturing content, safeguarding against spam, and proper ways to share the light of Christ through the media I personally produced!

As a result of this, I learned how to effectively use social media for good. These tools, habits, and learned skills were valuable in my transition into everyday life outside of serving my mission. I still use a lot of the safeguards and tricks she taught me to keep my media consumption pointed in the right direction.

Social Media is such a powerful tool. It is up to us to use it for good. If you are thinking about working with Laura, I can't recommend her enough!"

Ren Richardson: Global Training & Curriculum Specialist

"Laura is an excellent teacher, trainer, and facilitator. She truly cares about her students and learners.

She maintained extraordinary optimism during seasons in our training contract that were freighted with challenging travel schedules and conflicting expectations. People listened to her because they knew she had their interests at heart.

She is one of the most empathetic people I know. I believe much of her success was due to her ability to put herself in others’ shoes and to walk with them through difficulty.

Lastly, allow me to say that Laura is a person of deep integrity. I could depend on her word, which was very valuable in the demanding roles we had that relied heavily on collaboration. I knew this extended, however, beyond the workplace. Her trustworthiness among her colleagues was simply a reflection of who she is as a person."

Jaden Holley: OPM Returned Missionary

"As a missionary I had many opportunities to connect with individuals through social media. I have no doubt these opportunities would have been very limited if it weren't for Laura Brown!

She taught me to add joy and love for the Savior into the way I approached social media platforms.

Laura Brown has such a deep love for Jesus Christ and it is apparent in the way she leads. Laura has a testimony of missionary work and ensures professionalism in the Elders and Sisters she guides.

The lessons I learned from Laura continue to impact me after my missionary service. From passing along "parables" to siblings and friends, to ensuring that I keep a healthy and refined profile page to promote business opportunities

I will always be grateful for Laura Brown!"

"The standards and trainings I learned in the [mission] field are skills I still use to this day, even after my service as a missionary!

One of the greatest takeaways from my mission trainings was learning how to create a post that truly connects with people—whether through photos, captions, or the questions you ask. These things helped me reach a specific audience: those searching for Jesus. Social media on my mission was, and continues to be, one of the greatest blessings and tools we have.

Laura Brown is someone who radiates joy and carries a high spirit wherever she goes. She has been such a great mentor—teaching me how others see me on social media and helping me step into the perspective of my audience.

Before, during, and after my mission, social media has always been part of my life. But the greatest blessings I gained from the mission standards are obedience and discipline—learning how to use social media the right way. That discipline allows me to see it not just as a distraction, but as a gift and a powerful tool for good."
