Believe it or not, Social Media was never my thing! I spent much of my Corporate career traveling around the USA, just me and my suitcase, on various Corporate Training assignments.
I joined Facebook back in the early days and thought it would be an easier way to keep in touch than blogs and annual Christmas letters to friends and family.
I LAUGHED OUTLOUD when I heard missionaries were going to get access to social media. I thought, "That's going to be a DISASTER!"
Well, I was wrong! I had NO idea what God had in store for me! I'm the person He called to teach them how to do social media His way! I'm here to share with YOU all we learned!
Because feeling unsure about what to post, or wondering if your voice really matters online, doesn’t have to stop you from sharing the messages God has given you!
Social media can feel overwhelming, noisy, and sometimes even discouraging. But it doesn’t have to hold you back.
Your story matters. Your voice matters. Your mission matters.

Foundation is key. If I were you? I'd start with V.I.T.S. for Beginners. The acronym is a nod to vitamins. They are the building blocks to help you progress in your digital discipleship journey.
After I worked with missionaries for nearly 3 years and we achieved some incredible things, I expected my career to naturally segue into a social media career. Ahem. Nope!
It took me more than a YEAR to figure out that starting my own business was the next right step! I'm still working in Marketing as my "day" job, but I'm committed to building something wonderful here at The Social Media MTC!

As an experienced trainer and social media expert, I've made it my mission to teach people everywhere to seamlessly blend their in-person discipleship with social media!

As an executive training professional with 30 years of experience across industries including marketing, banking, mortgage, technology, social media, and government. I’ve taught and trained diverse audiences—from business leaders and government officials to call center employees, missionaries, and live television viewers.
With advanced degrees in business and communication, fluency in Spanish, and recognition for leadership and excellence, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people grow with confidence and clarity.
Alongside my professional work, I’ve spent decades serving in my faith community as a teacher, leader, missionary, musician, and temple ordinance worker in both English and Spanish. These experiences have shaped my vision for The Social Media MTC: a place to equip everyday believers to share their message with purpose, power, and faith.
I started my online business in 2024. I just had my 1-year anniversary in fact! I'm deep in the throws of developing the website, writing training, developing funnels, branding social media channels, creating content and getting the word about. My goal is to be able to transition to the business 100% and have more time to travel, write books, create art and meet friends around the world!
My favorite kids and some grown-ups too call me "La La." It is truly my favorite name. Sister Brown is my second as I teach missionaries. 3rd is "little sweetheart" my Dutch mom's favorite name for me. I decided long ago to be that person for as many kids as I can. You know the grown-up, in addition to their parents, who loves them fiercely! The one they can talk to about anything and really feel safe with!
I've lived on 3 continents! North America-USA, Europe and Africa. I'm bilingual. I speak English and Spanish. I can understand some Italian and Portuguese and a little Dutch. I've visited Mexico, Jamaica and Grand Cayman. My favorite assignment ever was in Baton Rouge, LA. Let me tell you, southern hospitality is a real thing!
