Folded hands in prayer over an open Bible, representing simple faith and personal testimony in Jesus Christ.

Jesus doesn't need GIMMICKS

I get it. The world scrolls fast. Attention spans are short. Algorithms reward flash, filters, and the next “wow” moment. But every time I see a video of missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints dancing, jumping rope, shooting hoops, or wearing something silly just to get attention, something inside me aches a little.

Why? Because Jesus doesn’t need gimmicks.

He doesn’t need a tutu or a TikTok trend to make His message matter. His gospel is already the good news. His words already pierce hearts and change lives. His Spirit already speaks louder than any beat drop or trending audio ever could.

I’m not saying there’s no place for joy, creativity, or even fun in sharing the gospel—Heaven knows the Lord delights in cheerful hearts! But when the method overshadows the message, we risk turning sacred work into shallow performance. When the spotlight shifts from Christ to content, we’ve missed the mark.

The Savior didn’t gather crowds with stunts. He drew them with truth. He healed them with compassion. He converted them with the Spirit.

Maybe what the world needs isn’t one more viral dance—but one more quiet disciple, standing firm, speaking truth, and living light.

    The Power of Simple Testimony

The gospel of Jesus Christ has never needed to compete for attention — it simply needs to be felt.

It doesn’t need choreography. It needs conviction. It doesn’t need props. It needs personal testimony.

There is something profoundly powerful about a simple, sincere witness:

“I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know He loves me. I know He can heal what’s broken.”

That’s it. No filters. No flash. No performance. Just truth.

When we bear that kind of quiet, heartfelt testimony, the Holy Ghost does what no trending audio ever could — it pierces hearts, softens pride, and invites change.

Simplicity leaves room for the Spirit. It’s not about us being memorable; it’s about Him being unmistakable.

Missionary work — real, Spirit-led missionary work — was never about going viral. It’s about going personal.

It’s the one-on-one conversation. The quiet DM of encouragement. The moment someone says, “I’ve been praying for an answer,” and you happen to be the one God sends.

That’s the sacred stuff. That’s the gathering of Israel — not through gimmicks, but through grace.

No Gimmicks — Just the Gospel

We don’t need to dress up the gospel to make it relevant. It is relevant — eternally so. The Savior’s message doesn’t need marketing tricks; it does take authentic voices, faith, and willingness to stand as witnesses of Him wherever we are.

The world isn’t craving entertainment. It’s craving truth.

It’s starving for peace, for belonging, for something real.

And that’s exactly what Jesus offers.

So let’s share that. Let’s be the kind of disciples whose light doesn’t come from a ring light but from the light of Christ within us.

Let’s testify of with power — simply, sincerely, and boldly!

    Because Jesus doesn’t need gimmicks!

He does need disciples who love Him enough to testify of Him in vulnerability and truth!
