Title: "IMPOSSIBLE to HIM-POSSIBLE: How Faith + High Standards Transform Lives"
If you were to ask any of the 600ish missionaries I served with no doubt they would tell you I held them to a high standard.
I believe 100% in high expectation with high love!
I'm not here to tell you what to do. I'm striving to follow the same advice, become my best self, social media in God's higher and holier way and to help teach and mentor you the best way I know how!
I also believe and have seen in my own life and the lives of others that when invited, youth and adults RISE to the occasion.
I saw this heartwarming story on social media just this week:
Who would have thought right? We expect teenagers to flake out, quit, go find another job and leave this business to collapse. But no!
They cleaned, they paid bills, they cooked and bought groceries. They rallied and helped one another to succeed. All without even being asked. The result? A livelihood saved! Confidence and skills built! And deep bonds of love and friendship forged.
RISE! They did just that!
I recognize I will invite you to do things in trainings here at The Social Media MTC that invite you to RISE! Here's the thing, I know change is hard. I was raised by a Dutch mother friends, who survived World War II in the Netherlands. Gestapo in the streets, Jewish neighbors who were never seen again, debris from bombs dropping on her and her sister in their beds. Ash rising from ovens. Poverty, insecurity and survival.
I learned the value of hard work from an early age, even if I didn't like it. And that work ethic has blessed my whole life.
"I can do all things with Christ" is a popular song. It's 100% true. His enabling power makes possible things in our lives we could not do on our own!
A few years ago it struck me how with only one letter difference IMPOSSIBLE becomes HIM-POSSIBLE. And that it is! Christ makes all things possible.
I invite you to RISE! Rise to meet Him.
